TESTIMONIALS

  • I really enjoyed participating in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl last year and meeting players from all over the country. It was great to learn from former NFL coaches and players and have an opportunity to interact with general managers and scouts from various teams. It was a productive week.

  • The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl prepared me for my professional career. It acclimated me to the level that they coached, understanding the NFL game, because the college level is so different.

  • If an athlete has the talent, drive and will to go to the next level, why wouldn't we provide that young man an opportunity to showcase his talents?

  • The game was a great way for us to experience what life would be like in the NFL. Working with professional coaches such as Coach O’Shea and others personally helped me in my development to play at the next level. I also really enjoyed the game week activities and the information the NFLPA provided us in preparing for the NFL off the field.

  • It was a tremendous experience for me. The game gave me an opportunity to display my talents for the next level, and from a player’s standpoint, it was good to interact with players from different schools and to learn from professional coaches. I really valued my interactions with the former players who coached us on the field and helped us prepare for what to expect at the professional level off the field.

  • The NFLPA game has very quickly become one of the better showcases for future NFL talent.  The game's venue provides NFL personnel and fans alike a great opportunity to see future NFL players get coached by NFL legends in an intimate, and scout friendly, setting.

  • "I've been to hundreds of these practices and sometimes you have players with different uniforms and equipment that doesn't fit and all sorts of issues. But this was as smoothly run as I've seen. The NFLPA worked closely with NFL scouts, who know what they're looking for and what's best for the players to showcase their skills. It's only their second year, but they do an incredible job running it.”

  • The whole week was a great experience for all involved. The practices were structured in a way that the players could show their abilities and compete with other high-quality players. It's great for scouts to see these players up close throughout the week, both in practice and during down-time in interviews. The Collegiate Bowl staff did a great job of setting things up and making themselves accessible to assist both players and scouts.

  • I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience of the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The NFLPA staff was organized and the access we were granted to the players was a true asset. The hotel, meals and overall setting gave the players every advantage they needed to perform at a high level, maintain their fitness and showcase their abilities. Most importantly, as an NFL Scout, the NFL caliber coaching the players received was invaluable in my evaluations of the players.

  • What I remember most about the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl experience is who we were surrounded by. You had Will Shields, Kevin Mawae, Tony Richardson and a host of guys that have played multiple years in the National Football League. You had some free agents that were there to give their advice on what could happen if you were not drafted, and then you had some of the drafted players that spoke about how to keep the job once you make the team. So many different players from all different positions that walked the walk that we were about to embark upon.
